A 138 page training package aimed at improving the quality of care of residents with swallowing problems in nursing homes. The training package includes: extensive information about swallowing and the management of swallowing problems; specific forms and protocols (the SOAP Program) for use in nursing homes; a systematic model to assist in implementing the SOAP Program; user-friendly lesson plans and handouts to be used in training staff within nursing homes.
