Description

A 112 page training package which aims to improve the quality of care of residents with dementia in nursing homes and hostels. The package is based on the TECH (task, environment, communication and health status) checklist which helps staff understand factors contributing to challenging behaviours and suggests strategies for dealing with these behaviours. The training package includes: background information on dementia; detailed guides to implementing the TECH approach; simple lesson plans and handouts which can be used for inservice training.
