Residential and Community Care

Research Summary

This area of research was developed by Dr Chris Shanley, (former Assistant Director, Education and Information Services) to address the health care needs of older people in the community and residential care. In particular, the work focused on the prevention of falls in residential care, advanced care directives in older people, and the organisational strategies for establishing best practices in residential care facilities and in the community.
